We are thrilled to announce that Baby-I has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the UK’s largest community funder. This support is made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
About Baby-I
At Baby-I, our mission is to prevent infant abandonment and protect and save the lives of babies. Every year, thousands of babies face preventable risks due to lack of awareness, resources, or timely support. Baby-I works to ensure that families can access guidance and help when it’s needed most.
A First-of-Its-Kind Initiative
This funding will bring to life the Baby-I Awareness Project, a groundbreaking initiative combining infant first aid training with our Awareness Campaign. For the first time, we will deliver hands-on training and expert guidance that equips parents, carers, and community members with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies, recognize early signs of crisis, and access support services.
Why This Matters
Through this project, we aim to save lives, prevent harm, and reduce infant abandonment. By providing practical skills and awareness, we empower communities to act quickly and confidently to protect babies.
What This Funding Achieves
Thanks to this grant, we will be able to:
Deliver the first-ever Baby-I Awareness Project, combining first aid training and public awareness
Expand infant first aid programs across local communities
Provide clear crisis signposting for individuals facing difficult pregnancies
Conduct targeted outreach to improve awareness and access to support services
“This funding strengthens our ability to reach families earlier and make help easy to find when it’s needed most,” said the Baby-I team.
We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and to everyone who plays the National Lottery for making this work possible.
